Cafe Spice Namaste turns Seventeen!
Our Anniversary Dinner
Tuesday, 13th November 2012 at 7pm
£65pp*
We invite you to celebrate with us as we mark 17 wonderful years since the opening of Cafe Spice Namaste. It's been a very personal journey for us, providing six days a week, every year since 1995, what we hope our loyal customers and friends still think is some of the best Indian food you can find this side of the planet. After 17 years, our devotion to them, through our food and service, through our commitment to the environment and local farmers and producers, remains undimmed. We've prepared a special party to celebrate, and would love for you to join us.
- Cyrus & Pervin Todiwala
Gather friends, family and colleagues and join us on an anniversary culinary adventure: a luxurious 5-course Sherry and Port Matching Dinner. We will also be auctioning, for charity, two of the remaining bottles of a very special Quinta do Noval vintage port, no longer bottled by the famous Portuguese vineyard.
Chef Patron Cyrus has personally chosen the following wines to complement his timeless cuisine.
Canapes served with the Todiwala Anniversary Cocktail
Made with Tio Pepe sherry, an elegant and distinctive fino, with fresh bread and almond aromas, and a palate crisp and very dry, with a complex, long finish.
Four first-of-a-kind dishes each served with one of the following distinctive wines:
Alfonso to be matched with the First Course
A delicious, dry Oloroso with warm spicy aromas and
pronounced nutty flavours
Apostoles Palo Cortado to be matched with the Second Course
A very old (30 years) Palo Cortado - VORS, a rare and elegant wine, dry with hints of caramel and old oak and a smooth, delicate finish
Noval 10 Year Old Tawny Port to be matched with the Third Course
Aged in oask casks and taking on the characteristics of walnuts, dried fruits, and spices. Rich and smooth on the palate, with an elegant structure and long finish
Quinta do Noval L.B.V. 2004 Unfiltered to be matched with
the fourth course
A vigorous, ripe fruit nose, a moutful of fresh red fruits, with a solid tannic structure and a long harmonious finish
2003 Quinta do Noval Vintage Port
Stunning, deep and rich...to be served at the end of the meal with chocolate
