When I started out 4 and a half years ago, getting work was HARD. And quite honestly (though I didn't even admit it to myself back then), I really didn't enjoy much of what I was doing - or who I was doing it for.
I remember a constant "hustle" for new business - lots of meetings, lots of proposals (which I hated) and lots of pressure to take any business or work I was offered.
I didn't know it then, but I had little sense of my $$$ value. Like many consultants (and professionals in general), I priced myself by the hour and would discount my fees with abandon, as needed, to pay the bills.
Things have changed a lot since then. These days I do work I LOVE, work with clients I ADORE, create things I'm PASSIONATE about, and make a heck of a lot more money. Did I mention I haven't written a proposal in ages? These days people decide they want to work with me first, commit, and THEN I design the program that works for them.
Life is certainly much better. Some of you may even remember that I took a (loooong) vacation this year (which would have been UNTHINKABLE even last year!)
I tell you this because the other day, Jessica Kizorek and I were talking and realized how similar our experiences were, and we nailed down the 3 things that we discovered were essential for both of us in growing our businesses. Check it out...

Also we're toying with the idea of a SMALL (maybe 50 people max?) end-of-month event about the above subject. If you're interested, please email Jessica Lurie or call her at (888) 531-3830 and let her know you want an invite because it will be invite only.
ENJOY!!
