To stay at some places in Door County, you have to catch them when you can.

Such is the case with Ephraim Guest House, which is not open all year.

Book this month or next, and you can still enjoy all this serene guest house and its surroundings have to offer.

Ephraim Guest House is situated on a quiet street near historic Ephraim attractions, Eagle Harbor and the waters of Green Bay.

And this is a great location if you plan on attending some upcoming key events  including the Townline Art Fair Oct. 6 and 7 on the grounds of Fine Line Design Gallery, as well as the annual sale at the popular City Farmer home and garden. Both are located on Ephraim's north end.

At Ephraim Guest House, you'll find parking convenient-just outside a gray cedar building that houses 15 available suites. Included are one, two and three bedroom suites-each with its own decorating scheme and at least one bathroom.  You can take a virtual tour on the Ephraim Guest House Web site (linked to www.DoorCountyNavigator.com) and check them out.

Some suites have a gas fireplace and whirlpool tub, too.  Each accommodation offers living and dining spaces (with TV/DVD), a fully equipped kitchen and complimentary wireless Internet service.

The grounds feature colorful flower beds, vibrant green plants and healthy trees and grassy areas. Also outdoorsThe Shallows Resort Banner  are a whirlpool, pond with outdoor seating and picnic and grilling areas.

And it's walking distance to Ephraim restaurants, shops, the waterfront and more.  Walk to historic Moravia Street, or enjoy fall colors on a bike ride.  This is a well-maintained place with a welcoming and serene feeling.
