Lifeguard hours

Starting August 13th, we will have lifeguards available from 4-8pm on Monday-Friday and 12-8pm on Saturday and Sunday. After Labor Day weekend we will no longer have lifeguards on duty. When no lifeguard is on duty, please remember that a parent/guardian must be poolside at all times.

Junior Swim Rest Periods

During the summer months while lifeguards are on duty, we will be conducting swim rest periods as recommended by the American Red Cross for our members and guests that are under 14 years of age.  The rest periods will be the last 10 minutes of every hour between the hours of 1:00pm and 8:00pm.  The rest period is for the safety of your children to allow for rest, rehydration and a restroom break.  It also allows a break for the lifeguards to help keep them alert.  We appreciate your cooperation.

Lifeguards

During the summer months Del Norte Lifeguards will be on duty (see front desk for hours) and they are responsible for insuring the safety of everyone using the outdoor pool.  Members and guests must comply with the directives of the lifeguards at all times.
Children's Pool Usage

Outdoor Pool -As per the California Health & Safety codes, when there is no lifeguard on duty, children under the age of 14 years will NOT be permitted to swim without direct supervision of their parent/guardian (18 years of age or older).

When a lifeguard is on duty, children 12 and over may come to the club to swim without their parent/guardian.  However, the child must be able to swim safely alone and/or stand in the pool alone when left with the lifeguard.  Children who cannot stand or swim safely must be directly supervised by their parent/guardian at all times.

Children ages 7 to 11 must have a parent/guardian present at the club to use the outdoor pool when a lifeguard is present.  Children who cannot stand or swim safely must be directly supervised by their parent/guardian at all times.

Children ages 6 and under must have direct supervision by a parent/guardian at all times.

Other rules are posted at the pool and copies are available at the front desk.  We want everyone to have a fun and safe summer and we appreciate your cooperation.

Indoor Pool - Children under the age of 18 are NOT permitted to swim without the direct supervision of their parent/guardian at all times.  Please watch your children when they are using the pool.  Also, children must stay in one lane of the pool and not roam from lane to lane and no swim toys are allowed.
