Don't fall for scam phone calls
It's the type of call that can cause people to panic: the phone rings and you answer, only to be told you are behind on your PUD payments and someone is coming to shut your power off. The caller says the only way to fix things is to go buy a prepaid credit card and call an 800-number with the payment details, and you only have 45 minutes to get it done.
There's only one problem: this call didn't come from the PUD - it came from a scammer.
