Hi Everyone,

I forgot to mention that we need our Copic ladies to bring their Copic Markers with them on Demo Day. Tina and I are using A LOT of colors and we will not have enough for everyone to share but we will have some. We are planning on Tina having 12 seats for customers her Cornacopia card and will need lots of markers. The good news is that you need the same colors for my Santa Card. You can bring colored pencils or any other markers you like to color with.

Please say: Here is the list of Copic Markers that Tina used, however she asks that you bring any reds, greens, oranges, browns and grays that you have as there are many options that would look great! Please have your Copics labeled (or wrapped with wahsi tape) and if you bring them they are for your personal use only so no worries. We want you to go home with the markers you came with.

Demo Day 11-4 PM

(Demo Day Rewind Sunday October 21st 12-5)
Join us for 14 great projects all just $2 each. We will have a variety of cards and layouts for you to create. We do the cutting and you do the gluing. Just drop in anytime after 11:00 and create as many Demos you want. We provide glue sticks so if you prefer tape, please bring a labeled tape runner. We will have kits available for all the demos so you can even make these at home.

If you complete 6 demos, you will receive a coupon for 10% off your regular priced purchases for the day (not including special orders or other sale special offers).

Lisa Halstead has another fun pillow box for you. Fill it with candy corns for a Halloween treat.

Vanessa has made a fun apple filled card for you.

Tracy couldn't resist using this cute Santa gift card holder stamp and adding a bit of glitter and embossing powder.

Since we are heading into the Fall season, Cindy will be creating a lovely Autumn-colored card. Her card uses a color combo that she loves for Fall - teal, rust, brown, and off-white.

Tina has created another masterpiece. I will be sending out the list of Copics if you want to bring your own labeled markers.

Linda broke out the Stampendous Red Glass Glitter for this great card.

Gina has been busy working on some fun Demo Day Layouts.

I just wanted to let you know that we received a large Copic marker order today. Also, we just received some new Gothic Window dies from Memory Box. I can't wait to play with these and Elizabeth Crafts glitter.

I opened up my new Anniversary set of Copic markers tonight and just had to color one of these new Memory Box Dies. I love the Rose Window and I paired it with Elizabeth crafts glitter. Maybe I should do a class?

New Copic Classes Coming to PhotoScraps!

Lisa is finalizing two new classes for the Copic line-up at PhotoScraps! Stay tuned. These classes will be showing up on the November/December calendar.

The Copic Spotlight classes will be focused on specific techniques to take your color work to new levels. Here's what she has planned:

Copic Spotlight: Copic and Colored Pencil Coloring without Lines

Copic Spotlight: Coloring and Creating Reflections

Copic Spotlight: Copic and Colored Pencil. Coloring without lines and adding dimension to your work.

This class will focus on coloring images without "stamped" lines to create three dimensional effects. We will also cover colored pencil techniques and how using them together with Copics add advanced dimension to your work. We will walk through a coloring and detail process that will be completed in class with a sample image to take home for practice. Full-color handouts provided. Here's a sample image of what you will create.

October Calendar is finally Ready!

Here are those Class FYI's that everyone needs to know

Please bring all your basic tools to class with you and the extra supplies listed in the class description. We will have most of the products available for purchase.
Payment is required to reserve your seat in class(es). Class spaces are based on a first come, first serve basis.
We require that any cancellations on classes be made 48 hours prior to beginning of class time. With proper notification of cancellation, the cost of the class will then be credited towards store credit. Failure to provide 48 hour notice will be considered a loss on the customers' end due to the short notice.
Classes cancelled on behalf of the shop will be refunded to customers.

When I was talking to Lorie about some of the cool things she makes, she mentioned her blog and I just had to get her permisson to share. A Wintery Feel

Happy Hellos Everyone:

I hope you're having one terrific Tuesday. Yesterday was such a beautiful. Hopefully, today will promise to be more of the same. Well, I hope you're ready because as promised, I have another wonderful {okay...I'm a little bias} altered cigar box to share with you. I had a strong tie to this box instantly. I'm not sure whether it was the cool colors or the theme, but I know it will be difficult for me to let this one go.

When I created this box, I totally had cooler weather in mind. I love the feel of cool autumn days and cooler wintery evenings. If I were to keep this altered box, I would probably store hot cocoa and/or gourmet tea packets or perhaps even cool mint candies to share.

Take a look and be sure to share your thoughts.

I often select a wintery theme over a Christmas theme just because the wintery theme will run well over into the new year. In addition, I've come to learn everyone does not celebrate Christmas. Don't you just love the snowman's scraf? Everything appears to have blended perfectly... even the various patterns and the silver snowflakes.

I thought the Tim Holtz's foundation worked well with this theme.

The original banding worked well with the color theme. I'm not certain whether you noticed the word in the center of the lid, but it reads 'Authentique.' I never thought to use the word printed at the bottom of the DP, but I will from now on. It wasn't my intention to advertise the brand name as it was to identify this altered box as being one of a kind.
This paper is black and white with a small hint of green. I didn't want to leave it at that, so I decided to distress the papers with one of the colors of winter. Here, you're able to see the handle I created using buttons.

Distressing the edges just provides a cleaner look for a finish project. Full inside view
