Huge Help

A huge
thank you to all those who have donated to improve the Dog Park. With a recent donation of four additional trees from a resident, along with the 31 donated from Wabo Construction, we now have a total of 35 new trees! Thanks to Wabo Construction, those trees also have been staked, mulched, and equipped with bubbler irrigation.  In addition, a permanent shade structure will be coming to the park within the next few weeks!
Coffee with the City Manager

Been wanting to ask a question about the City? Join our City Manager, Alex Henderson, and Police Chief, Neil Dadian, at Common Ground on April 28 at 5:30 pm for the next gathering in our Coffee with the City Manager series. Grab a latte, relax, and converse about all things Kingsburg. Ask questions in a relaxed environment and learn about ongoing initiatives. Coffee and light snacks will be provided.

These discussions will aid in the development of the City's budget process, and provides insights on the large scale projects that will be funded in the coming year.  Those interested are encouraged to attend and provide input.

This week in History

On April 11, 1814, Napoleon Bonaparte, who was emperor of France as well as one of the brightest military leaders in history, abdicated his throne and is exiled to the island of Elba in the Mediterranean Sea. He did this due to his failed invasion of Russia, which led to his military forces retreating and disbanding. This caused him to loose support, thus leading to his exile. However the exile was not permanent. Napoleon escaped Elba and returned to Paris to reclaim his throne. After his defeat at the battle of Waterloo he was exiled a second time to another island, but this island of Saint Helena was located in the southern Atlantic Ocean.
