Hey Now, You're an All Star!

The City of Kingsburg has been given the honor of being added to Constant Contact's roster for the 2015 All Stars!  This honor is only given to the top 10% of Constant Contact users and is only given to those who have extraordinary customer reviews.  Constant Contact is used to help create and send out the Kingsburg Carrier. So from all of us at the City of Kingsburg, thank you for your support!

We would also like to keep the ball rolling. So if you know someone that would be interested in reading the Kingsburg Carrier pass this along and ask them to sign up!
Klass Kids Print-a-Thon

The Kingsburg Public Safety Commission presents the second Klass Kids Print-a-Thon Event: Kid's Safety Day at the Fire Station! This is an opportunity to help ensure your child's safety by having them get fingerprinted, photographed and even receive a DNA packet through the Klass Kids Foundation absolutely for free.  The kids will get to enjoy, free music, food & drinks, and even a bounce house.

The event will take place Saturday, April 30 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Kingsburg Fire Station, 1460 Marion St. For more information please call (559) 897-1111.

This week in History

On March 29, 1973, the last of the remaining U.S. troops are released from POW camps in Hanoi, North Vietnam. This occurred two months after the signing of the Vietnam peace treaty that ended the U.S's involvement in the eight year long Vietnam War. The releasing of the last POW's was the final nail in the coffin. Even though there was no more U.S. military aid in Vietnam, approximately 7,000 civilian employees with the U.S. Department of Defense remained behind to aid the Southern Vietnamese.
