Holiday Dangers
This Week in History
December 7, 1941, a date that will live in infamy, the naval base at Pearl Harbor was bombed by Japanese naval and air forces. More than 2,400 Americans lost their lives, both civilian and military personnel. With this attack President Roosevelt came to Congress giving one of the most memorable speeches in American history. Congress then had a near unanimous vote, with one voting against in the House of Representatives, to go to war. With this, the United States was forced into World War II.

Kingsburg is one of nine cities in the country to receive this honor. Other cities include San Francisco, CA; Philadelphia, PA; and San Antonio, TX.
Don't Leaf Them Alone
A friendly reminder that loose leaves should be disposed of by utilizing your green waste bin, not piled in the street.

Please do your part in keeping the city clean and keep the gutters in front of your property clear.  With rain in the forecast, every bit helps to keep the drains flowing!
