5 Things To Do with Thanksgiving Leftovers
5 Things To Do with Thanksgiving Leftovers

This Week in History
On November 26, 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signs the bill that officially establishes that the fourth Thursday of November will be the national holiday of Thanksgiving. This is the celebration of the harvest and giving thanks for what we have in our lives. This dates back to the early days of Plymouth Massachusetts when, on one particularly bountiful harvest, governor William Bradford invited the local Native American population to join the Pilgrims for a three day festival and feast.
Oh Christmas Tree
The annual Julgransfest is upon us once again! Join us this Friday night, November 27 at 6:00p.m. at Memorial Park to enjoy the spectacle.

There will be music, dancing, and even train rides to the newly remodeled Kingsburg Train Depot. Enjoy the lighting of the tree, music in the air, and the joy of great company.
Be Big by Going Small
It's that time of year again. People are eating turkey, putting up lights, and thinking about presents. Support the local economy by participating in Small Business Saturday this weekend!

Head down to any local business and get a great deal and provide added benefit to your community.
Winner, Winner
It may be almost winter, but any time of the year is good for a BBQ. Help support the Kingsburg Cancer Volunteers at their Annual BBQ Chicken Dinner held at the Kingsburg Community Church
  • Saturday, December 5
  • 11:00am - 2:00pm
Come by and get a delicious chicken dinner and even homemade deserts! Get it to go or to stay. To get your tickets call 288-8630.
New Wheels
Kingsburg has some new additions to the public safety fleet! The Fire Department has a new ambulance and the Police Department has several new patrol cars.

These purchases were funded through the proceeds of a one-time land sale by the City as part of the long term Capital Improvement Program.

Lookin' Good
Looking to improve your commercial building?  Work with the City as part of the Facade Improvement Program. This partnership offers financial assistance for eligible projects to encourage downtown improvements.

The program works on a reimbursement basis, providing up to $5,000 per project.  Projects must be per-approved and funding is limited so apply today!
