City Council Meeting July 1, 2015
6:00 pm in Council Chambers |
"Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe."
|
On June 23, 1992, Mafia boss John Gotti, who was nicknamed the "Teflon Don" after escaping unscathed from several trials during the 1980s, is sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty on 14 accounts of conspiracy to commit murder and racketeering. Moments after his sentence was read in a federal courthouse in Brooklyn, hundreds of Gotti's supporters stormed the building and overturned and smashed cars before being forced back by police reinforcements.

Take your dog to run - leash free! The first official Kingsburg Dog Park is open for busin ess beginning tomorrow morning (June 26) at 7am. While the first phase of the park included fence repairs, accessibility improvements, cleanup and safety features - there are a few things to know before going: - There is a water bowl on site that PW will try to keep filled with water, but there is no running water on site. Feel free to bring bottles of water for you and your dog.
- Trash bins are on site but pickup bags are not - please cleanup after your pet.
- The site is not irrigated. The grass is what mother nature will allow.
- There is little to no shade - trees will likely be planted in the fall.
For those interested in donating to improve the park (benches, shade, etc.) feel free to contact Ashlee Schmal. An official leash cutting ceremony is set for Saturday, July 11 @8am - all are welcome! |
