Halloween Update
Halloween is here!  That means consumes, tricks, and more importantly - treats!  Residents are invited to the YOUNG LIFE BUILDING on Friday night to enjoy several festivities starting at 6:00pm.  (The event has been moved from Memorial Park due to predicted rain).

Trick or treating often starts around 5pm, and drivers are asked to drive safely and be on the lookout for little trick or treaters as they walk from house to house.  If you're participating in handing out candy, make sure your porch light is on!
Mental Health Meeting
As many are aware, Crestwood Mental Health has applied for a conditional use permit to operate a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center, to be located at the old Kingsburg Hospital site.

Crestwood held an initial meeting on October 21, and will be holding another information meeting on Wednesday, November 5, 6pm at Holy Family Church Hhall located at 1279 Smith Street.

The discussion of the conditional use permit will be heard at the November 13 Planning Commission meeting at 6pm.  For questions related to the City's process, contact Alex Henderson (897-6528).
December Deadline
The highly successful Kingsburg Launching Pad competition is back!  The program, which helps entrepreneurs get jump started, is back for its second round.  First developed in 2013, the top two finishers have opened businesses in Kingsburg (Mitt i Dalen, SportsFan Barber Shop).

All competitors receive free business planning help, with the winner receiving start-up assistance worth approximately $25,000.

Visit the Kingsburg website or contact Jolene Polyack (284-2421) for additional information.  The initial application deadline is December 1, and winners will be announced at the 2015 Swedish Festival.
Time to Vote
Get out and exercise your right to vote next Tuesday, November 4.  Polls are open from 7am - 8pm.  Registered voters should have received information in the mail pertaining to their proper voting location.

Outside of Federal, State and local races, there are a number of measures on the ballot.  Election related questions can be directed to Fresno County.
Ladies Night Out
Don't forget that the first Kingsburg Ladies Night Out event is just one week away!  Held on November 6 from 6-9pm, the event is for ladies only - and offers raffles, games, food, refreshments and much more.

Tickets are just $10 each, and a portion goes to the Kingsburg Cancer Volunteers.  Get your holiday shopping started off on the right foot.
