The City Council approved a request by the Fresno County Rural Transit Agency (RTA) to move dispatching to a centralized location in the City of Fresno. The move helps improve the RTA's ability to better serve customers by improving route efficiency with computer aided dispatching services.
While an employee will no longer be stationed at City Hall, residents can still stop in to utilize a dedicated phone to contact the RTA for a ride. The full transition will be implemented in phases over the next few weeks. Riders are encouraged to call the toll free 800-325-7433 to schedule pickup service.
