The 2014 Phase II water meter installation project is set to begin on Monday, January 27. The project includes the installation of new meters to over 1,800 homes City-wide. The project, which has several phases, is scheduled to be completed by Fall 2014. The meter installation assists with proper billing and overall water conservation.
Property owners were recently sent a letter outlining the project and timeline. While the project has minimal impact on individual properties, owners will have no water service during a short period of time. Owners will be given notice of the required water shut-off prior to work commencing. If you have additional questions, please contact Sue Bauch at 897-6520.

There are a number of projects that will take place in the City this summer, including the Train Depot and numerous street improvement projects. One of the main projects is the 20th Avenue street improvements (Plumas to Mariposa) - This is Phase 4 of a larger project the City is funding through the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and will reconstruct the pavement, curbs, gutters and sidewalks in one of the oldest neighborhoods in town. This project should go to bid in February with work beginning in April and completed by September. |
