Arc Dances Promote Fun and Fitness
According to the CDC the obesity rates for adults with disabilities is approximately 57% higher than for adults without disabilities. Regular physical activity provides important health benefits including improved cardiovascular and muscle fitness, improved metal health, and better ability to do tasks of daily life. Did you know that at an Arc Dance you are can have fun with your friends and work on being physically fit and active? Teens and Adults ages 16 and up with intellectual and developmental disabilities are invited to join the Arc in July for two great opportunities to dance off some calories and work towards a happier healthy lifestyle. Friday, July 18th from 7:00 to 9:00 you can join the Arc for a Luau Dance. Tuesday, July 22nd join the Arc from 7:30 to 8:30 pm for a special Dance class taught by the teachers and students of Ashland's Affirming Arts!
