May 5, 2013 - Morning Worship

The Messages:

Pastor Ruth's sermon, "Come and Have Breakfast," can be seen here.

When Al Moore passed away on Saturday, Penny lost a wonderful friend, as did our congregation. Al's unconditional love of all children made a deep impression on Penny. This conversation with the children can be seen here.

Sunday's Music:

Susan LaVerriere joined Beryl Samia in the Prelude and Postlude. Our Sunday music is always inspiring.
  • Prelude: "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" by Bach
  • Senior Choir Anthem: "Christ Liveth in Me"
  • Postlude: "Alleluia!" by Mozart
These selections are available on our Sunday Music page.

Appreciation Concert by and for
Retiring Organist Beryl Samia
Sunday, May 19th - 4 p.m.

The concert, entitled "Glory, Gratitude and Grateful Goodbye," will feature our own Trinity Trio - Nancy Chamberlin, Susan LaVerriere and Beryl Samia. In addition, there will be a tribute to Beryl from Mark Thallander.

Following the concert, a reception and dinner (provided by the church) will be held in Beryl's honor. Because of the overwhelming response, the reception/dinner has been moved to the American Legion Hall across from the Kennebunkport Police Department.

Happenings

David Smith and Gail Browning presented slides, following the service, of their recent trip to the Partners in Development Mission in Guatemala.

Gail put her nursing training to good use and David helped construct a new home.  Both came away feeling that their visit was an important personal out-reach from our church.

The History of our church is a saga of opportunity and determination.
