April 7, 2013 - Second Sunday of Easter
This morning, we commissioned more volunteers for the Partners in Development Guatemalan mission - Gail and Susan Browning, Julie and Patrick Grady, Jane and David Smith. Vaya Con Dios - Go with God
Ruth's Sermon: "Our Resurrection, Too" reminds us that while Jesus' resurrection is pivotal to our Christian belief, we can have a daily rebirth thanks to God's grace. View her sermon here.
Sunday's Music:
Beryl Samia and our choir provided the appropriate music for this post-Easter season - and when you watch the Offertory Anthem, you'll likely catch the spirit.
- Prelude: "Jesus is All the World to Me" (arr. Thallander)
- The Senior Choir, directed by Beryl Samia:
"I Thank You Jesus." - Postlude: "To God be the Glory" (arr. Pardini)

"Feeling Divine," featuring Norene Freeman, is now on Portland cable tv.
Norene has worked for more than a year to assemble a production crew, record the program and get it 'on the air.' It features an interview with a good friend of this church, Pastor Mair Honan of Grace Street Ministries in Portland. But that's not all - there's wonderful music by local talent along with visual and inspiring reflections.
The Kennebunk Post published an article this past week on Norene's efforts and can be read here . You can now view the entire television program (produced at The Church on the Cape), by going here . This is hopefully the first of many such programs focusing on people making a difference. |
