March 31, 2013 - Easter Sunday

Pastor Ruth's Sermon focused on Christ's comforting words:
"Do Not Be Afraid"

Time for the Children:

Penny was missing but another animal caught the attention of the children. Low and behold, it was actually two creatures! Go here for the metamorphosis.

Sunday's Music:

Easter is always an uplifting celebration and Chris Humphrey brought his brass quartet to join with Beryl Samia in the prelude and postlude.
  • Prelude:  "An Easter Celebration - brass & organ
  • The Senior Choir, directed by Beryl Samia, sang
    "Crown Him."
  • Postlude: "The Hallelujah Chorus" - brass and organ
These selections are available on our Sunday Music page.
Good Friday Service at Our Church

The Prelude, "O Sacred Head Now Wounded", was performed by The Divinity Quartet which consists of Beryl Samia/organ, Susan LaVerriere/violin, Nancy Chamberlin/piano and Juliet Altham/cell0.

Sermon: The Good Friday Message
was delivered by Rev. Joe Everett of Village Baptist Church in Kennebunkport. Rev. Joe played a game of "Name that Tune" with us, which turned into "Name that Psalm."

Five area churches provided clergy of this very moving service which prepared us for the joys of Easter.
