ROBOTICS...GAME DAY
COME OUT AND CHEER ON OUR ROBOTICS TEAM!
Come out and cheer on our Robotics Team this Saturday at The USA Mitchell Center.   They get points if you show up and make some noise! Doors open at 9:00 am. Be sure to wear your SLES colors...noisemakers are most definitely permitted!
They are not only responsible for designing and building their robot, they are required to design and create a trade booth, provide a sales presentation to the judges, publicize their product and its abilities, provide community outreach, assist other BEST teams and can also earn points based on the number of fans who come out to cheer them on for game day!

Upper School students receive CEU credits for attending (and showing school spirit!)

 AN ALL NEW HALLOWEEN/FOOTBALL  TRADITION
This year our last Varsity football game will be on Friday, October 30th at West Mobile Park.  We are inviting families of both campuses to come out and support our Wildcats by tailgating and enjoying the game.  But wait, there's more!!

This year we also wanted to do something fun for the little ones while we tailgate.  Bring them in their costumes and let them participate in Trunk-N-Treat!  You could choose to decorate your trunk, the bed of your truck or tailgating tent!  Bring candy or trinkets to hand out to our little Wildcats and then join us for the last football game of the season!

St. Luke's will be hosting a K2-12 Open House on Sunday November 8th from 2:00 until 4:00 pm for prospective families.  Please encourage your family and friends to come visit us!  This is the perfect opportunity to tour our campuses, meet our teachers and administration, and learn about the academic, art and athletic programs we offer for all ages. Be sure to let them know why YOU chose St. Luke's...If you have a family you'd like to see at St. Luke's,  we want to see them at St. Luke's.

For more information or to request that we send a personal invitation to a family, please contact Hilary DeArmon, Early Childhood and Lower School Admissions, at hdearmon@stlukesmobile.com or Anita Roberson, Middle and Upper School Admissions, at aroberson@stlukesmobile.com

UNIVERSITY CAMPUS GUEST SPEAKER: DR. BARRY BOOTH This year's guest speaker is Dr. Barry Booth.  Dr. Booth joined the Marine Corps in 1966 earning a Gold Parachutist Device, the U.S. Navy Unit Commendation, and the Vietnam Service Medal among others.  He was honorably discharged in 1969. At age 60, after the terrible events of September 11th, 2001, he attempted to rejoin the Marine Corps, and had to be officially denied.  Dr. Booth was vital to the establishment of the  Honor Flight South Alabama program, the establishment of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, and the creation of the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery.  He was named the 2009 Veteran of the Year by the Mobile Bay Veterans Day Commission and Fairhope, Alabama's Veteran of the Year for 2011.

UNIVERSITY CAMPUS WALL OF HONOR
Last year we created a "Wall of Veterans" to honor those who have served in the armed forces. We are inviting our students to honor any veteran in their family and friends again this year. Please complete this electronic submission form by Tuesday, November 2, 2015. If possible, please attached a digital photograph. Photos are not required.

BOOSTERTHON IS BACK!
MAKE PLANS TO JOIN US FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13th

BOOSTERTHON IS COMING NOVEMBER 4-13th...MAKE PLANS TO JOIN US FOR THIS FANTASTIC FUN RUN!!!

You asked for it..we got it back! Several years ago, St. Luke's held one of the best fundraisers EVER and we are thrilled to announce that it is coming back!  Students on the Japonica Campus will be participating in the 2015 Boosterthon Fun Run on Friday, November 13th.

WE NEED HELP!  We want to make this a big deal for the kids..decorating campus, building the hype and making it exciting! Not only will students be gathering sponsors for every lap they complete in the FUN RUN, but they need some cheering fans rooting them on! Bring signs, noisemakers, and fans to watch as your Wildcat takes to the track.  This is an event the kids go crazy for...and you will too when you see how much they enjoy themselves!   Check out the videos from other schools and help us get creative for the kids. The character theme for this year is BIG WORLD RECESS- a global fitness theme all about building character through sports.  Students will travel the world learning how to play with more character from kids in other cultures.
