Candy for Troops Results
Our KICKS kids helped organized a school-wide candy drive to thank our troops. Below is a link to a special video they created to share the results. Thanks to everyone who donated to this important effort. Way to go Greenwood!

Veterans Day
Our school celebrated Veterans Day with an inspiring program this morning. Students sang songs, shared speeches, and our scouts wore their uniforms to show support for Veterans. We welcomed in 50+ Veterans and their families for a special reception and to say,"Thank you" in person. The Hamel VFW and American Legion Color Guard presented the colors and concluded the program by playing taps. I'm really proud of our students and how they expressed their genuine gratitude to our Veterans today. We shared a link to a live-stream video feed of the program this morning via our school's hashtag #GWgreats on Twitter. A video of the program will also be available HERE by tomorrow morning (it's currently downloading). Thank you to everyone who supported this program and a special thanks to Mr. Westgard for the time, work, and leadership in preparing the program with students and staff.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Brad Gustafson, Principal
Computer Science Coding League

5th Grade KICKS
The first KICKS service project of the year, Candy for Troops, was a huge success!  Greenwood families generously donated 1,057 pounds of Halloween candy!  Our 5th Grade KICKS students worked hard making posters and visiting classrooms to get the word out.  Additionally, they made thank you cards and collected, sorted, weighed, packaged and graphed 1,057 lbs. of candy for our military personnel.  Thanks to everyone who donated candy and volunteered for this project.
