Picture Retake Day is November 3rd
Mark your calendar and get ready for Picture Retake Day Tuesday, November 3rd! Remember to send the original picture package back to school with your child.
Morning Student Drop-offs
Greenwood's student day begins at 7:45 a.m. The optimal time to drop off your student is between 7:30 and 7:35 am. Please do not drop your child off before 7:20 a.m.
Health Screening Thank You
A huge THANK YOU goes out to all those who helped with the health screening earlier this month! It was a large task that couldn't have been done without all of your help.
Kicks - Candy for Troops Collection
The KICKS students are collecting Halloween candy to be packaged and sent to US military troops.  Please bring your candy donations to school on November 3rd, 4th and 5th.  KICKS students will collect candy in the front hallway from 7:25-7:45am.  If possible, please sort candy into three bags:  chocolate, non-chocolate and Halloween-labeled.  Thank you for supporting our military! 
PTA Update
Parents' Night Out is Next Week!
Tomorrow is the last day to purchase tickets to this event! No admission tickets will be sold at the door. Can't find your invite? Print one HERE and turn it in ASAP!

Join us at Medina Country Club on Friday, November 6th from 7-11pm. There will be a silent and live auction, raffle items, wine toss, wine & beer flights, plus a live band for dancing!
A few highlights from the silent auction:

  • Skateboarding Lesson
  • Guthrie Theater Tickets
  • Family 4-pack to Science Museum
  • Other fabulous items!

We need VOLUNTEERS to help make the night a success! There are many opportunities available. Please click HERE to sign up.

Volunteer Opportunities

Help Build a LEGO Wall
Dr. G is looking for a Team Leader to help build a LEGO wall in the Greenwood Sunroom.  For a link that demonstrates what he is looking for, click HEREThe school will provide all of the supplies. If you are handy with tools and light construction (cutting plywood, drilling, etc.), this is the project for you.

Basic Aid Training Chair
A chair is needed for the Basic Aid Training program that is presented to 4th grade students each year.

Greenwood turns 50!

Destination ImagiNation Registration Deadline Extended
The Wayzata Destination ImagiNation registration deadline has been extended until Monday, November 9, 2015! Form a team and register today! Destination ImagiNation is a world-wide creative problem solving competition for kids. For more information visit wayzatadi.org.

Pumpkins and Polka Dots

Create a masterpiece inspired by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, also known as the "Queen of Polka Dots." This amazing pumpkin painting will be completed with acrylic paints on a stretched 8x10 canvas.
