Celebrate Creativity using "Squiggle" Celebrate Creativity using "Squiggle"Check out our 4th grade podcast crew as they introduce an exciting challenge along with some students from New York and New Jersey! Be sure to check out the hashtag #StuConnect on Twitter to view what other students created with their "Squiggle" lines. There are even some kids from Italy that are participating! Concert DVDsWe piloted an awesome idea presented by the PTA to film the 3rd grade music program as a service to families. The district audio-visual staff is nearly finished with the concert DVD production from the 3rd grade program. If you are interested in ordering a copy of the 3rd grade music program, please fill out a DVD order form (click here), send a check for $5.00 payable to the Greenwood PTA to school and deliver that to Denise Stricker in the main office. The last day to order DVDs is May 23rd. Based on the preliminary positive feedback and requests coming in from families...we are also planning to offer this same service to our 1st grade families at tomorrow's music program. We will record DVDs of the 1st grade music program Friday and those DVDs will be delivered closer to the end of the school year. If you're interested in ordering, please fill out a DVD order form (click here), send a check for $5.00 payable to Greenwood PTA to school and deliver that to Denise Stricker in the main office. Any extra monies raised by music program DVD sales will be dedicated to buying a projector for the gym. Old School Movie Night! Our 1st ever Greenwood Movie Night will feature a classic movie, "Escape to Witch Mountain!" Bring your family in and join us for this special throw-back movie event on May 16th. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the movie will begin playing by 6:30 p.m. It will be great to come together for an evening as a school community. Plan to bring a comfy blanket to spread out on the gym floor, and a little spare change if you're interested in concessions. We'll use the money raised from concessions to help with the cost of a new gym projector that we're saving for. Parents are asked to remain for the entire movie to help supervise their child(ren). Kind regards, Mr. Brad Gustafson, Principal
