From the Desk of Mr. G

Childhood Leukemia & Lymphoma is a cause that's near and dear to our hearts.  In the past the Greenwood School community has rallied in support of kids with cancer, and we're hoping for a strong show of support this year as well.  Please join our 5th grade Kids in Community Kare and Service (KICKS) kids and send your spare coins to school the week of March 4th through the 8th.  All students will have mini coin collecting boxes that they can take home.  Every penny counts....help us be a positive force for "change" in the fight against cancer.

Please click here to see a flyer created by one of our KICKS students, and to here link to a podcast our students made.  Their leadership and service has been inspiring, and we thank you for any support you can provide.

Kind regards,

Mr. Brad Gustafson, Principal

It's time to Bingo!

Family Bingo Night is this Friday, March 1, at 6:30 p.m. in the gym and cafeteria.  Bingo card sales will begin at 6 pm (cash or checks only).  There will be two long tables set up at the main entrance for ease of flow.  Please have your cash and checks ready to go so the lines can move quickly.  Bingo cards will be sold in packs of 10 cards each and will cost $5/pack.  You will receive one raffle ticket per 10-pack of Bingo cards.  Ten games of Bingo will be played throughout the evening with cash winnings for each game.  Multiple raffle prizes will be given after each game.  In addition, everyone will leave with a door prize!

New this year, Jamba Juice will be selling their all-fruit smoothies ($2 and $4 sizes) and organic, gluten-free snacks for $1/each.  Quantities are limited.  Twenty percent of the proceeds will benefit Greenwood PTA.  Other items such as popcorn, water, and candy also will be available for purchase for $1/each.

We are still in need of a few volunteers to sell Bingo cards and food.  Please use this link to sign up!   http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0A45A9A72DAB9-bingo.
