Construction Update

Next school year Greenwood will have a new gym and four new classrooms. We anticipate breaking ground later in November.  The additional space is part of a "right-sizing" process designed to help elementary buildings realize optimal capacity levels for current enrollment projections. You may have noticed that some preliminary construction work has already begun. The playground on the east side of our school (adjacent to 101) is being relocated to make room for the new addition. We anticipate the playground "re-opening" for student access in the next week. I wanted to assure parents and staff that the bricks that were engraved and donated to help fund the original playground are being relocated along with the playground.  They will remain an important part of the "Greenwood story" and students will continue to share many smiles on the equipment that was purchased as a result of the amazing generosity and work of our school community.

This is Carnival Country!

After months of planning and lots of eager anticipation....the carnival is here!  YES!!!!!  Please join us tomorrow (Friday) from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for an evening of fun. There are some AMAZING gift baskets assembled for the silent auction and the Time and Talent (TNT) auction is sure to be a hit! The current "buzz" that I'm hearing is all about the "Adopt-a-Stuffed-Animal" game and great food and friends everyone will be connecting with. I want to thank everyone for their tremendous support and generosity. The carnival represents the true power of the word TEAMWORK and what we can do together to live out the PTA motto; making more happen for kids!

I'll see you at the carnival!

Mr. Brad Gustafson
