Greetings!
Please pray for the many annual meetings that are taking place. A Pentecost message from the Presidents of the World Council of Churches; a new ELCA bishop-elect; and 2 short videos are worth-while viewing. I invite you to show your support of your Muslim neighbors by posting a sign of support during Ramadan. (See the article.) There's a lot to gleen from this issue. Blessings. Rebecca

From our friends in the Minnesota Council of Churches are these suggestions:
The Issue: We are in the context of increased disrespect for Muslims. From hate crimes to a presidential campaign where fear and hate speech seem to becoming more of the norm. But that is not who we are in Minnesota. When we are our best selves, we are a welcoming, caring, respectful community and there are people of faith all over the state who want to offer their own witness to that fact. (Public Religion Research institute / The Atlantic Survey tell us that, "Two-thirds (67%) of Americans oppose banning people who are Muslim from entering the U.S....") A Response: The Minnesota Council of Churches seeks to offer a movement this Ramadan by inviting congregations and individuals to place a sign in their yard during Ramadan season that says, "To Our Muslim Neighbors: Blessed Ramadan".
