In honor of the life and legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Columbus Community Relations Commission is pleased to open its doors for the 6th Annual MLK  Call for Artists

All artists, grades 6-12 are encouraged to submit entries by the January 10, 2012 deadline for a juried exhibition. The art will be exhibited in the Columbus from January 15th until February 26th, 2013.

Richland County Organization for Disaster   

 

 The Fall OHVOAD (Ohio Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) Conference took place on Nov. 14 in Mansfield. Special recognition was given to the Richland County Organization for Disaster Assistance for their outstanding work in recent disaster. About 50 people came from across the spectrum of social services, EMA directors, church affiliates, and the American Red Cross.

New officers were affirmed and installed at the October 24, 2012 Governing Board meeting for 2013-2015. They are (from left to right): The Rev. Dr. Otha Gilyard (Ohio Baptist General Convention); the Rev. Raafat Zaki (Synod of the Covenant, PCUSA); the Rev. Dr. Charles Tyler, Sr., (African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church). Mr. Steve Salt (Christian Science, Committee on Publication for Ohio) was reaffirmed for a 2nd term.
