How will 2014 be remembered? The first word that comes to mind is likely consolidation, but other words might be transitions, growth, new opportunities, and significant achievements. While it is impossible to summarize the many activities of University College in the past 12 months, we've compiled the more significant milestones, achievements, and special celebrations from the monthly newsletters into this "Year in Review." As you enjoy the holiday break, we encourage you to reflect on your own milestones of 2014 and what you look forward to accomplishing in 2015. The coming year will also be one of transitions, growth, new opportunities (and challenges), and significant achievements. We look forward to celebrating them together!

While University College has seen much success this year in several different areas and disciplines, we are particularly proud of celebrating our 10-year anniversary. We were excited to host the first Georgia FYTS Conference, which welcomed more than 200 participants. We took significant steps in offering new and enhanced degree programs, and we launched our first development campaign, the Next Generation Scholarship. We prepared to officially welcome Orientation & Transition Programs and First-Year & Undeclared Advising Services into our structure in 2015, and we congratulated two dedicated faculty for their contribution to securing a $3.2 million FIPSE grant for the university. While we welcomed several new employees, we, unfortunately, had to bid farewell to faculty and staff members.
