INLA Booth- "More than meets the eye"
T he Silver Creek Team wants to thank all of you that took time to visit our booth at the INLA conference. Each year, Silver Creek tries to bring something fresh to the show, and this year was no exception. Our walk-through style booth gave visitors a chance to focus on each of the unique products we had displayed in a very low pressure but informative environment. Our displays of Azek Recycled Pavers, the Luxor transformer, and the Easy Turf artificial turf drew a ton of attention. And who at the show didn't hear all of the hootin' and hollerin' going on with our putting challenge!? Next year we're thinking about a long drive competition, so bring your hard hats!!
The Idaho Nursery and Landscape Association (INLA) does a great job every year at this conference in providing our industry professionals the opportunity to attend a variety of classes. From tree care, business, efficient irrigation, sustainable services, hiring employees, pest management, to innovative retail, there is always something for everyone. We strongly encourage you to engage with the INLA and take advantage of the services they offer. www.inlagrow.org

Shot of Shame
How Many Valves Can You Fit in a Valve Box?
Eleven!...if you're a carpenter!!
Congratulations to Chris Moore with Power Enterprises winner of this month's "Shot of Shame" contest. This is a photo of a very "unique" manifold system he discovered on one of his service calls. Solenoid wires clipped to within an inch of the solenoid.
Electrical tape splices. Each tee ¾'' from the next. Hey- at least they used pressure treated lumber!
Enjoy your $25 gift card to Cabelas's Chris, and thanks for the photo!
Send in a photo of something questionable, unique, or entertaining that you discover in the field... and you could be our next $25 gift card winner.
Send them to: chansen@silvercreeksupply.com.

The UltimateGrass Solution
Because low snow pack and drought years are becoming all too common, options for minimal water use seem to be in demand more than ever. Enhancing any project with beautiful living trees, shrubs, flowers and turf will always be the ultimate goal. But, in those situations of high traffic, narrow strips, extreme slope or run-off, pet wear, or extensive shade, artificial turf may be the ultimate solution. Artificial grass is more than just the turf grass itself. It's a complete landscape system. The artificial turf system includes preparation of the ground the synthetic turf will be installed on, the drainage through the synthetic grass backing, the infill material used to keep the artificial grass blades erect and provide ballast, and the yarn that create the grass blades. The best artificial lawn is comprised of fibers or yarn that are tufted or quilted into a backing to create the appearance of an organic lawn. UltimateGrass by Easy Turf uses only polyethylene or polypropylene fiber, or yarn, because are both of superior quality. UltimateGrass prides itself on setting the bar high for quality standards in the landscape synthetic turf industry. They do not use nylon fibers because it has absorptive qualities and it does not drain clean. Nylon fiber is found in inferior synthetic grass products. Contact your nearest Silver Creek Supply branch for more or information or samples of UltimateGrass by Easy Turf.
