No More "Stuck Valves" with Patented Straight-Through Flow K-Rain's design reduces pressure loss and clogging from debris
First introduced over 8 years ago, the K-Rain ProSeries 100 valve brings innovation to the traditional 1" valve. The straight-through flow path reduces friction loss and almost eliminates trapped debris. Rather than trapping pebbles or wood chips, they just flow through. No more opening valves that don't flush clean! This valve has proven itself in dirty water conditions thanks to the clever placement of the diaphragm screen. The screen is continually cleaned by the turbulent flow of the water, resulting in a valve that is incredibly dirt tolerant. Watch the video!

Do You Recommend the Right Irrigation Retrofits to Your Customers? Grow your maintenance business with retrofits to aging systems
What are you doing to sell retrofits and upgrades to existing irrigation systems? Undoing the inefficiencies of poor installations can help your customers save water and grow your business at the same time. Here are some easy examples of important retrofits: Problem: Rotors and sprays mixed on the same zone. Solution: Retrofit sprays to rotary nozzles. Problem: Turf build-up overtaking aging sprinkler heads, coverage problems. Solution: Upgrade heads, correct layout issues. Problem: Broken risers leading to water waste. Solution: Switch heads to high-pops that disappear from view. Problem: Homeowners don't understand how to set the controller, and don't adjust watering times per zone in season. Solution: Self-adjusting "smart" controllers can reduce total use up to 25%. Helping your customers make their systems more efficient will save water, protect the reputation of our industry and most importantly, generate profits from additional sales.
- Train your service technicians to identify need for improvements and sell them to the homeowner. Use explanatory "tip sheets" to aid in the sales process.
- Follow-up with homeowners with poor systems by phone and mail. Go back after spring start-ups are over to address key concerns.
- Ask customers about their water bills. Customers that have high bills are targets for system improvements.
Owners and technicians often incorrectly assume that all clients are frugal rather than presenting all available options. Many clients are eager to upgrade to the latest technology. They want to have a good, hassle free service experience. They want to prevent future issues. Give them what they want.
