Our internship model, which continues to be the cornerstones of our business, is comprised of four key components, as follows:

Together these components offer interns the opportunity to gain the knowledge, experience and connections needed to be successful in their chosen field.
The "ongoing coaching and mentoring" component is the key driver of the other three, as coaches play an indispensable role in guiding the intern's development process. Coaches also provide mentorship to interns by sharing their experience, while helping them to navigate their career path - within an organization or industry.
Having launched the careers of close to 12,000 interns, we know that this model works, and we commend our network of employers who partner with us to help put more interns to work, subsequently improving their socio-economic opportunities.

Hiring Your "Dream Team" With Career Edge Interns

Last month, NDP members of both federal and provincial parliaments introduced bills that - if passed - will extend workplace standards and safety provisions to interns under the Canada Labour Code (CLC) and Ontario's Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA). The introduction of these bills is a big step forward in terms of ensuring fairness and equity for interns, while making the conditions related to unpaid internships more comprehensive for employers.
