Is your child safety seat installed correctly?

Road injuries are the leading cause of preventable deaths and injuries to children in the United States. Properly installed child safety seats are the most effective way to protect young children involved in motor vehicle crashes, reducing the risk of fatal injury by up to 71 percent for infants and 54 percent for toddlers ages 1 to 4. Unfortunately, studies have found that 73 percent of car seats were installed incorrectly.

Is your child's car seat installed properly?

Stop by the event to have your child safety seat checked out by certified inspectors representing the California Highway Patrol. This free event is open to all ages and will include Child ID Kits with fingerprints and a photograph - one of the most important tools used by authorities to aid in the recovery of a missing person.
