Greetings!
About this time of year we all start yearning for those tell-tale signs of Spring, don't we? The first seed catalogs arrive and the rows of bedding plants at the local home improvement store appear. Even though you KNOW it's much too early to plant outside, still they beckon you! Many of you are currently on projects, and even if you've been in the "Sun Belt" somewhere across this country, there still are signs of spring - fresh green on the trees, redbud trees appearing in their purple-pink splendor, grass looking like it might just need to be cut! Whether the crocus is just peeking through the last of the snow in the yard or the bougainvillea is blooming along the roadside, spring is on its way. Everywhere you look, God is keeping his promise that "as long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease." (Gen 8:22) Our ministry has had a good winter season - we have almost 20 more SOWERS working this March than last March. But let's not stop there! Don't forget to check out some of the exciting spring, summer and fall projects to put your talents to work for the Lord in the months ahead!
Thankful for HIS promises!

Doing what we can....
My heart breaks when I see how many children are being cared for by someone other than their parents in many of the projects we serve. I do not have the skills or talents to be a houseparent, but I can paint bedrooms and repair clothing for these kids as I did for young Sara on a recent project.
When I returned the repaired Holly Hobby quilt to her, I shared that with each stitch, I prayed for her. She offered a confused frown, but gave me a sweet "thank you" hug.
Later, I learned that her birthparents had regularly awakened her at 2AM to perform witchcraft and she is still confused between this and the love of Jesus she is learning about. When Sara said her nightmares were decreasing, her houseparent shared with her that during the night she walks the floors and prays for Sara to be released from these memories and surrounded by the love of Jesus.
That afternoon, Sara told me that she had renamed her toy lamb "Jesus", because during the Bible reading in the cottage this week she learned that Jesus is called "Lamb of God".
Yes, my body is aching from all the painting, but my heart is full of joy from the opportunity to love on the unloved through the ministry of SOWERS.

Looking for some Summer Joy?
Are you looking for new adventures while serving at a summer project? Camp Shoshanah (NY-220) is located in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of New York. The summer camp program centers on the grounding and growth of believers through in-depth study of the Scriptures from a Jewish perspective.
Students of all ages from many countries come to join their Messianic discipleship program. While working the project Sowers have the opportunity to study and fellowship with the teaching staff and students. The camp is involved in an aggressive building program in anticipation of opening a school of Messianic Jewish Studies in the fall of 2015 and can use our help. A number of scenic attractions are located nearby for your free time. They have 5 SOWER spots, and are open for SOWERS from May to September. Along with the Camp Shoshanah website, check out the Ariel site for more information about their study programs.

March Trustee Meeting
 | March 15 |
If you are opening this email on Saturday the 15th, would you take a moment to stop and pray for our Board of Trustees? We'll be having our mid-year teleconference meeting on the 15th at 2PM EDT. Among our other business, we'll be discussing many of the 2014 Survey responses, reviewing projects, and addressing issues that have been received from you, our members. We thank you for your prayers as we continue working for the ministry.

Pictures Update
The Skill Sheet picture project is continuing. Thank you to those who have sent in pictures! Here are a couple of suggestions and guidelines to help with the process -
- Pictures should be sent to the office - sowers@sowerministry.org
- Individual pictures are most appreciated, but since only "head shots" are needed, pictures that can be cropped are also fine.
- Next time you're on a project find the "shutterbug' in the group and set up a "photo booth" . All the photos can be taken at one time and sent in together to the office. Feel free to resize them to reduce the file size.
- These photos will only be used on the skill sheets that are sent to the project hosts and group leaders. While submitting these photos is optional, we encourage you to send them in.

Dear Sam and Sally
I'm not sure I understand the need for the GL reports that appear in the Sowergram. So often it sounds like we are grabbing glory for ourselves. Plus they take up a lot of room and make the Sowergram more expensive to print. Are they really necessary?
Concerned on many levels.....
Dear Concerned,
Thanks for this question! The GL report fulfills many uses in our ministry. The first part of it just gives us a "thumbs up" that things went well. And anytime there is a problem with the project, it's a good way to get in writing what the difficulty is. When the GL report is received at the office with any kind of noted problem (either people or project related), it gets forwarded to the appropriate board member for further research and consideration. The summary GL reports that get published in the 'Gram are useful for a couple of reasons. If you've recently been to a project, it's good to see how they are coming with any projects you might have been working on. If you're going to a project (or considering going to one), it's a good indicator of the work that is to be done. Let's face it - although the project can update their work description any time during the year, the reality is they do it once when they send in their annual update. The GL reports that are published monthly give a recent snapshot of what's going on at the ministry. Yes, sometimes the reports get a bit long since it's hard to condense a month of service into 100 words (I'm over 200 just in this reply!), but remember that social activities do not need to be included. All in all we feel the GL Reports are a good thing and an essential tool for the ministry. And we also believe that each report starts with an assumed "Giving God all the Glory...."
In Him,
Sam and Sally

Florida Reunion Report
Praise the Lord! There were approximately 84 SOWERS in attendance at the reunion this year, which was all about sharing Jesus!
We had spirit filled devotions each morning and then the day continued with sweet fellowship. We enjoyed good entertainment and laughter from our own Sower family. And there were also outstanding meals and even some goodies from the "fat wagon" from Hope Children's Home.
Here is a comment from a new SOWER who came to his first reunion which I think says it all!-
"Got to the Florida reunion. Had only met a few SOWERS at Islamorada. When we showed up at the reunion we felt that everyone knew us though. I cannot number the people who came up to us and said they had been praying for us and our stolen truck. What a community, what a blessing. No wonder we found a truck just in time at a fair price to fit our needs. Thank you all." Robert McCandless (#3220)
