After School Programs sign-ups due!

The final session of After School Enrichment Programs begins this week! We would love to have more sign ups for Circus Arts and Fire & Stone in particular. Check out the full list of programs on the Hilltop website. You can find sign-up forms here, or at the front desk. Please return completed forms by Tuesday, April 28th, preferably by 9AM.

Open Board Meeting
Wednesday, April 28 6-8PM

Please join us for the Open Board Meeting this Wednesday, April 29th from 6-8PM. Topics will include:
- meeting the Board members
- hearing about the finances of the school from Board Treasurer Rich Wolfe, including a discussion of information from the Annual Report
- a presentation from Greg Hessel of the initial Strategic Plan survey information
- further discussion and input for the Strategic Plan
The Strategic Plan will be the roadmap for the next 5 years, just as the last one was. Here is the 2010 Strategic Plan. We have accomplished many of the goals as summarized in this Update document.
You have a unique role in helping Hilltop Montessori School grow for your family and your input is important to us. We welcome you to come and share your ideas with the whole community. Childcare will be provided - please sign up at the front desk.

| Green Up Day 2015 | |
Green Up Day will be celebrated on Friday, May 1, with activities for Children's House, Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, and Middle School students. Activities will include cleaning up neighboring streets so please encourage your child to show their spirit by wearing their Hilltop garb!

Hilltop's SummerFun camp program offers the perfect balance of creative learning and fun recreational activities for students ages 3-5, 6-9, and 9-12.

Host a Spanish teen this summer!
Expand your family's horizons this summer by welcoming a student from Spain into your home through the STEP-to-U.S.A. program.
The boys and girls, who range in age from 14 to 17, will arrive on June 25th, and spend 3 1/2 weeks in southern Vermont, departing on July 20th.
The students are all from the Basque region of Spain and are at an intermediate English level. Host families provide a warm and safe home environment for the students, as well as meals and transportation to a meeting spot on the days there are field trips (Boston and Six Flags--host families are invited to come along.)
It's fine for a student to share a room with a host sibling, and the students have their own spending money, medical insurance, and phone cards.

Host families are also needed for exchange students who will be attending BUHS and other area schools this fall!
