FDIC Insurance

Under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act noninterest-bearing transaction accounts at all FDIC-insured depository institutions are insured with no limitations from December 31, 2010 to December 31, 2012.

Beginning January 1, 2013 these accounts will no longer be insured separately from depositors' other accounts held at the same institution. The maximum aggregate balance insured by FDIC, per depositor, per institution, will be $250,000. For more information please visit the FDIC web site.
