Avoid Being a Victim of Scams

Here are a few tips to avoid being a victim of scams:

1. Do not download attachments sent by unknown email addresses. Be cautious opening attachments sent from friends, as well, unless you know the attachment is safe.

2. Do not click on links in emails from unknown email addresses. Only click on links from your friends that you know are legitimate.

3. Do not reply to text messages from unfamiliar numbers especially if they are requesting personal information. Forward spam texts to 7726 (SPAM).

4. Visit www.scam-detector.com or download their app to stay up to date on the most fraudulent activities.
