ANNOUNCEMENTS & EVENTS

After the Gift: Discerning the next steps for St. Patrick's.
Dear Friends:
We are having a town-hall meeting on Sunday, September 18, following the 10:30 liturgy. The meeting will be held in the Nave. We hope you will join us. It is important to have your voice heard as we discern our future. As you may know, in the past 2 years we have significantly increased our staff to include a full time  Associate Rector, a quarter-time Priest Associate, a half-time Youth Minister and a half-time Director of Children's Ministry. All of these positions are funded by gifts-a large bequest and a couple of directed gifts. In about a year, all of these gifts will come to an end. It has been a wonderful experience to have this robust staff. It is our work, as a parish, to discern where we wish to go from here, after the gift.

At the town hall meeting, which will last about 45 minutes, we will collect information from you about what your hopes and dreams are as we move forward. It is vital to have as many voices heard as possible, so please make time for this important work of the parish.

Peace and all good,
The clergy, staff and vestry of St. Patrick's

SPARKS Tuesday Sept 20 - 5.00 pm:
Medicare Open Enrollment:The biggest decision is whether to go straight Medicare, (with or without a supplemental plan) or to go for an Advantage plan. Each has its pros and cons.We can get together to discuss and learn from each other and a licensed agent. The good news - if you decide on your basic direction you know which adverts to listen to and which to ignore.

Liturgy Teams: Each Sunday, members of the liturgy team, including the Altar Guild, Acolytes and Eucharistic minister, carry out the meaningful work of preparing our place of worship, and serving in worship. It takes about 20 people on the liturgy team to make the 10:30 worship service happen!

Have you considered joining a liturgy team? Here are some reasons God may be calling you to this ministry:

You will be joining a host of other individuals who week by week create our services of worship, including choir members, readers, ushers, greeters and coffee hour hosts. By being part of the liturgical ministry team, you will be making a valuable offering to our community's
worship life. Serving also helps us grow spiritually.

We are currently seeking folks to serve on the Altar Guild, acolyte team and as Eucharistic Ministers (those who serve the chalice). If you feel God is calling you to any of these ministries, please contact Mother Sarah, who will help connect you to these wonderful teams!

Nursery Staff Changes:  Dear friends,
We will have new caregivers in the nursery beginning this Sunday.
I want to thank Laurie Demoff, who has served at St. Patrick's for over a decade, and
Princess Stenton for their loving care of our littlest members.
Please contact me if you have any questions about these staff changes.

Malachi's Storehouse Gives to St. Patrick's

MSH paid for
the new hardware on the south door and the new rug in the parlor!

We moved close to a half million pounds of food into the south doors in 2015 and it showed! Ramsay Hall and Alex Augustin, both faithful MSH volunteers, worked last weekend to spruce up and make secure the south end of the building.MSH is thrilled to be stable enough to give back to our beloved St. Patrick's
