ANNOUNCEMENTS

After the Gift: Discerning the next steps for St. Patrick's.
Dear Friends:
We are having a town-hall meeting on Sunday, September 18, following the 10:30 liturgy. The meeting will be held in the Nave. We hope you will join us. It is important to have your voice heard as we discern our future. As you may know, in the past 2 years we have significantly increased our staff to include a full time  Associate Rector, a quarter-time Priest Associate, a half-time Youth Minister and a half-time Director of Children's Ministry. All of these positions are funded by gifts-a large bequest and a couple of directed gifts. In about a year, all of these gifts will come to an end. It has been a wonderful experience to have this robust staff. It is our work, as a parish, to discern where we wish to go from here, after the gift.

At the town hall meeting, which will last about 45 minutes, we will collect information from you about what your hopes and dreams are as we move forward. It is vital to have as many voices heard as possible, so please make time for this important work of the parish.

Peace and all good,
The clergy, staff and vestry of St. Patricks

Liturgy Teams: Each Sunday, members of the liturgy team, including the Altar Guild, Acolytes and Eucharistic minister, carry out the meaningful work of preparing our place of worship, and serving in worship. It takes about 20 people on the liturgy team to make the 10:30 worship service happen!

Have you considered joining a liturgy team? Here are some reasons God may be calling you to this ministry:

You will be joining a host of other individuals who week by week create our services of worship, including choir members, readers, ushers, greeters and coffee hour hosts. By being part of the liturgical ministry team, you will be making a valuable offering to our community's
worship life. Serving also helps us grow spiritually.

We are currently seeking folks to serve on the Altar Guild, acolyte team and as Eucharistic Ministers (those who serve the chalice). If you feel God is calling you to any of these ministries, please contact Mother Sarah, who will help connect you to these wonderful teams!

New Fall Office Hours: Beginning September 1 the office will be closed on Thursdays and Fridays. Regular office hours will resume in January 2017.

Home Group Openings: Thinking About Joining a Home Group? Our home group, based in Gwinnett County, has openings for 4 new people. We are committed to growing spiritually through reading, prayer and fellowship. If you are interested, please contact Wayne Ware at wsquared1@gmail.com, or call 404-213-8566.
