Please join us for the one remaining Sunday in the series of exploring peace. 5:00-7:00 with program for all ages and a nursery is provided!Tickets are on sale after the 10:30 service and on Sunday night.

ANAM CARA OFFERINGS


Anam Cara Yoga
 
Class Schedule:
Mondays noon (all levels)- A basics class grounded in a meditative spirit.
Thursdays 7:45 p.m. (intermediate) - Sweat and Restore:Get ready to move and sweat in the first part of the class, followed by deep stretching, restorative practices, and meditation.
Fridays noon (all levels) -
Yin: Fewer poses held for extended lengths of time, allowing the stretches to move more deeply into our joints, soft tissue and fascia.

Centering Prayer: 
Centering Prayer meets on Mondays at 1:15 pm in the library. Please contact Rev. Julia Rusling (rev.julia@stpat.net) with questions. 

Over the next several months we will be using ThomasMerton's book, New Seeds of Contemplation, to enrich our study and practice.  Even if you cannot join us on Mondays, please join us in exploring how Merton's writing may be of support to you in your contemplative journey.

Chalice, Cheese and Danna Faulds - Sept. 10 , 7-9 pm in Parlor: Join us for a wonderful evening of "Chalice, Cheese, and Danna Faulds" on Saturday, September 10, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Parlor. Danna Faulds, whose words and images have helped many to unfold into the presence and mystery of God, is the author of four popular books of poetry: Go In and In; One Soul; Prayers to the Infinite; and From Root to Bloom
Please bring: a Danna Faulds poem, wine or non-alcoholic beverage of your choice, chalice (aka wine glass) and a plated cheese pairing (with crackers or fruit if desired).

Kick Off Sunday Potluck: Date for the Calendar - Sept. 11! 'KICK OFF' Sunday - Dear friends we will have a 
Potluck Parish Lunch after the 10.30 service, in the hall. Soft drinks and Entrees provided. Please bring your favorite Side/Salad dish and/or dessert to share.  



Wayne Judge Memorial Golf Classic - Sept. 13 The Annual Wayne Judge Memorial Golf Classic is on the horizon and we want to see you there on Tuesday, September 13 (registration at 9:00 a.m., tee time at 10:00 a.m.) to share some fellowship, have some fun and support a great cause of renovating our St. Patrick's playground facilities.
It's as easy as 1-2-3-FORE!
  1. Block your calendar on September 13, and come out to Rivermont Country Club (bringing friends would be even better). Entry fees are $95 per golfer.
  2. Volunteer to help support the event day activities
  3. If you can't physically participate on September 13, become a sponsor - various levels are available:
  • Gold Sponsor  $1,000 (includes the fees for one foursome)
  • Silver $500  (includes the fees for two golfers)
  • Hole Sponsor $300
or paper registration forms can be found on the table in the Nave at church

Shine A Light Update: Cool Girls of Atlanta met with folks interested in the Shine A Light Advocates for Girls project. There were 21 people in attendance and 11 signed up as mentors/advocates or volunteers for group activities.  
 
Cool Girls will be interviewing and matching Advocates with their Cool Girl in September.  The volunteers are busy planning projects at St Patrick's for the Cool Sisters and Cool Girls.  Many topics have been discussed including art, baking, and yoga classes.  If this ministry is calling you, sign up as a general volunteer or Cool Sister on the Cool Girls web site,  http://www.thecoolgirls.org/volunteer/ 
 
Volunteers and Advocates are required by the Episcopal Church  to take Safe Guarding our Children class before meeting with the girls. The next class scheduled is:
St. Aidan's training  on Sat., Sept. 10 from 9:30 to 12:30. Register with Deborah Silver at dsilver@episcopalatlanta.org.

SUNDAY MORNING CHRISTIAN FORMATION

Fall Christian Formation begins on September 11 from 9:00-10:15.  Children and youth will meet in their classrooms noted below and adults will meet in the Parish Hall for light refreshments and a presentation on Sunday offerings by Adult Christian Formation Leaders

Bring some food to share as we will have a potluck in the Parish Hall following the 10:30 service.  Watch for updates!
