Malachi
's Storehouse: Volunteer Opportunities for Backpack Event
It's hard to believe that summer is upon us and school will be starting in early August! Malachi's annual backpack distribution will be held later this month.

Opportunities for volunteers abound! We invite you to join us in one of the following ways:
  • One of our partners, For the Kid in All of Us, will be holding their annual Backpack in the Park event on Sunday, July 24, and they ask their beneficiaries to provide volunteers. The event will be held at Cator Woolford Gardens, 1815 S. Ponce de Leon Ave, NE. Volunteer time slots are from 9 - 11, 11 - 1, and 1 - 3 (this last slot is when most volunteers are needed). We also need one volunteer with an SUV or similar to help pick up backpacks. This involves arriving at Cator Woolford at 7:00 p.m. and delivering back to St. Patrick's.
  • We need your help at St. Patrick's on Wednesday, July 27, with backpack stuffing and distribution. Help is needed from 10 - 3.
These are great opportunities for your middle and high school kids to earn volunteer hours before heading back to school, but it's loads of fun for adults too. Please contact Judi Carlson or Robin Neal if you're able to help out.

Whatever you choose, you will be helping Malachi's children get prepared for the start of school in August. Thank you!
