UPCOMING EVENTS
Come Help Pack Lunches with Shine a Light - Thursday, July 7 at 7 p.m. in Parish Hall:
Come help, learn some things, have some fun and do what we do best, community. Many hands make light work so come one, come all on July 7 at 7 p.m. Our partner, Action Ministries, will deliver the lunches directly to the neighborhoods on July 8. Help us fill their stomachs with a healthy lunch so that bad choices are not caused by hunger on a hot summer day in 2016. 7-7:30 - Speaker - Elizabeth Bigham - she is a special agent with the GBI in the Child Exploitation and Crimes Unit. Her presentation will give a look into the way the internet is used these days to lure girls into prostitution and sex trafficking. 7:30 - make and pack the lunch bags - The kids at risk receive free lunches at school but during the summer go without. We will make healthy lunches including sandwiches with a quarter pound of meat and a slice of cheese as that might be the only food they receive all day. We encourage parents to come (parental discretion advised for children attending speaker portion of evening). For children not attending the speaker portion, we plan to have the art room open where they will decorate bags. Contact Catherine Renauld with any questions: crenaud@virtualcloudsoftware.net
