YOUTH!

Tubing Final Details for June 4

1) Meet at Church Parking Lot at 8:30 am to drive to Church of the Resurrection (1755 Duncan Bridge Rd, Sautee, Ga 30571) Dick will have the St. Patrick's permission forms- PARENTS DON'T LEAVE UNTIL YOU SIGN THESE!

2) We still need both drivers and Chaperones. If your child is worried about you being seen with them- the river is long and they can pretend not to know you! We also need drivers.  Right now it's just Dick. He is amazing- but he can't do it by himself!

3) We will need to bring a list of all people from our Parish.

4) Checks should be made out to the diocese and cash is also fine! It's $20 per person!

5) Please bring a towel, sunscreen, and a change of clothes.

6) Once we go down the river we will wait for our entire group then the bus will shuttle us back to Resurrection.

7) We will change into our dry clothes and have lunch then celebrate Eucharist.

8) We should be back in church parking lot between 4:30-5:00. We will call to give ETA.

9) If you haven't told me you can come yet- it's fine so long as we have the drivers needed.  I'm going out of town on Thursday, so I won't be able to coordinate after today.

PLEASE TEXT ME 404-358-6024 if you can drive and Chaperone- we have Lots of kids wanting to go!
HERE WE GROW!

We are well on our way to meeting our staffing challenge of $155,000. So far, 23 of us have given $26,059 in new and increased pledges to our 2016 operating budget. Can you help? You sure can! Pledge cards are available in the office and on the usher's table in the nave. Together we can do this! With God's help, we will!

PLAYGROUND UPDATE

Beloved of St. Patrick's,

It is indeed a very exciting time in the life of our parish. Plans have been drawn for a holistic vision of our backyard space (by our own Rob Grove). Much of the fundraising for our new playground has borne fruit and we are moving forward with the playground portion of the project this summer.

The chain link fence is being removed (you may have noticed the hard work of Earl Thiery and Bill Murphy, removing much of the overgrown shrubbery) and replaced with a black iron looking fence.

We are interviewing playground equipment vendors and researching ground cover options. Our goal is to have all options and prices in hand by the end of June, with actual construction activities commencing in July and completing in early August.

Thank you all for your faithful support of this endeavor! Our children deserve the very best we can give them and your commitment is allowing us to build for their future.

With sincere gratitude,
David White
Junior Warden
A NOTE FROM JULIA

There is a rhythm to life, a rhythm of work and rest, labor and play, action and contemplation.
As we attune ourselves to this rhythm there is a groundedness that can more readily flourish in the many parts of our lives.

And so, after a blessedly full and busy year with all of you, on Sundays and Wednesdays, Quiet Days, Feast Days, and everything in between, I will be on break from parish work for the months of June and July, as a way of balancing many additional hours and heart felt energy given.

These two months will be a time to sink into family life again, to continue with my training in yoga therapy, and to immerse myself in study, prayer and writing. I am also so looking forward to swimming in the Finger Lakes up north (they are beautiful! and wonderfully refreshing!), celebrating many anniversaries with family and friends, savoring a week at Kripalu (a yoga and wellness center in the Berkshire mountains) with a good friend, and our beloved summer family time at Kanuga. I am grateful for this time of balancing.

Beloved St. Patrick's, while I will be absent in body, do know that you hold such a dear and sacred place in my heart that you are ever near in my prayers and thoughts. And I pray that you, too, both as individuals and as a community, may know a time of rest and refreshment.

With much love,
Julia

AND ALSO WITH Y'ALL: PEACE, PAJAMAS, AND PATRICK
Sunday Evenings in August

This summer, we're going to offer a season of peace. On Sunday evenings in August, we will invite the entire parish to participate in what we're calling And also with y'all: Peace, Pajamas and Patrick. From 5:00-7:00 PM, all who wish are invited to a simple supper, program and play focused on peace. We'll be looking at peace in the world, peace in humanity and peace in our hearts. We'll have wonderful activities, all-ages games and adventures, and a time to reflect in small groups. ALL AGES are welcome and encouraged. Come to one or two sessions or come to the all! And we'll send you home all ready to be tucked in, so kids, youth and courageous adults are invited and welcome to come in their PJs!

I hope you'll mark this event on your calendar. Want to be part of the planning team? Let Mo. Sarah know!

** Please note: this replaces the previously scheduled Family Summer Camp in July. **
