St. Patrick's Foyers Group B, a.k.a., The Heavenly Hosts, held its first 2015 meeting Saturday March 28  with seventeen in attendance. A great time was had by all and kudos go to Aaron Highley, Group Convenor, for organizing and the Rankins for hosting this first meeting.  Foyers is primarily a fellowship activity and a great way for newcomers and oldtimers to get connected outside the pew in an informal dinner party setting. All members of St. Pats (as well as their friends & neighbors who might want to check out St. Pats!) are invited to participate. If you want to get in on the fun, drop a note to Diane Rankin.

PARISH HAPPENINGS

Adult meals are $7, Youth and Children (3-12 years of age) are $5, with a Family Maximum of $20.  Please email Amanda Vaughn to make your dinner reservation by noon the Monday before. Childcare, at no charge, is available by reservation through the church office by the Monday before.

Centering Prayer:
Please join us for Centering Prayer. It is a gathering shaped for us all, beginner and seasoned practitioner alike. We are finding that opening with a short five minute sit to begin, and then about ten to twelve minutes, with opportunities to share experiences and questions in-between, is developing into a wonderful rhythm  Before our sits we have time to introduce the practice or listen to a brief reading on Centering Prayer, and after our sits we have time again to debrief with one another and share questions and noticings. It is a very gentle practice.  We would love for you to join us. We are currently offering two opportunities: Mondays at 1 p.m. and Tuesdays at 10 a.m.

Being Mary & Martha Group - April 14, 7:00 p.m.: Did you buy an iPhone because everyone else has one, but you can't do much besides make a call on it? Did you purchase a tablet computer because it's super portable, but you're clueless about all the great things it does? Do you just need to know how to post photos to Facebook? Join the Being Mary and Martha Group on Tuesday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. for Technology Night. Tech gurus Ruth Dowd and Cowen Harter will be on hand to answer your questions and show you a few things hands-on. Our meeting leaders are Marcia Hutchins and Elaine Judge. Bring your device with you and also a snack to share with the group if you can. All are welcome. (Ruth and Cowen ask you to e-mail your questions before the meeting If possible.)

Wedding Anniversary Blessing: Please join Jon and Josephine Richardson on April 19 at the 10:30 a.m. service, as they celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary with a blessing.

Celebrating Graduates: At the 10:30 a.m. service on May 17, we would like to recognize St. Patrick's high school and college seniors who will be graduating this year by listing their names in the bulletin.  If you are graduating, or know a St. Patrick's parishioner who is graduating, please send their name to Amanda Vaughn by Tuesday, May 12.

Volunteers Needed for Lemonade Days - April 15-19:
This year, funds raised will  be money for our children. It is our hope that the funds raised this year will create seed money so that we can plan for a new, beautiful, safe, happy playground where the next generation of St. Patrick's can grow, play and delight in God's creation and our care for them.
We need your help to make this happen.

Click here for a sign up sheet for volunteers. Please consider signing up for at least one, and ideally two shifts. It's a great way to welcome people to St. Patrick's and a wonderful expression of hope for our children.

Children's Summer Camp: Save the Date! Please save the date for our upcoming Children's Summer Camp:

Who: Rising K through Rising 5th Graders

When: July 20 - 24, 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., after care available until 5 p.m. This year's theme will be on the parables of Jesus. Activities will involve literature, parables, art, discovery, movement, and so much more! Registration and Volunteer information coming soon.  The involvement of many hands and hearts supports the camp's blossoming as a ministry of the whole of St. Patrick's.

There are many ways to be involved. We are actively recruiting adult and youth (rising 8th graders and above) volunteers to join the fun. Please speak to Sarah or Julia if you discern a call to join us in this wonderful ministry.

Name tags:
Remember, wear your name tag when you come to St. Patrick's! They're hanging alphabetically on the name tag board. Each Sunday the board can be found in the narthex. Otherwise it lives in the back hallway. If you need a nametag, please email nametagAmanda Vaughn or fill out the form that can be found Sunday mornings in the narthex on the stand next to the visitor's book.
