Ribbon Cutting for Garden & Art Exhibition

The Village Paints the Village:
The thrill of our first exhibition began to heat up from finishing the last few marks on paintings, the mind-bending measuring for lettering, through finally seeing the exhibition through the eyes of our gorgeous subjects and their parents. Parents cried, I guessed, to see their kids so lovingly painted. We cried to see the whole of it, that you all "got it", that we, as we dreamed, were birthing an ongoing and growing parish project. Our tension and excitement was palpable. I had sewn "drapery weights" into our undergarments so we wouldn't just float away. If there is even a tiny part of you that wants to "see" the way an artist sees, let us know. If you have a child in Rite 13 (or up), get them photographed. This is holy work we do and when we most feel inside of God. - Nancy Dusenberry

Courtyard Garden: St. Patrick's celebrated the opening of the new church courtyard after the completion of the beautification project by the Church Garden Club. This was the culmination of three months of work planning, weeding, digging and planting by the club members. Many thanks to Paul Chlup (Chairman), Heather Chlup, Liam Chlup, Mary Lambert, Josephine Richardson, JoAnne Cropper, Martha Mills, Kathryn Turman, Pam Wilson, and Bruce Wilson for all of your hard work. Also, a special thanks to our plant donors: Bruce & Pam Wilson, Fr. Dick Game, The Chlup Family, Mary Lambert, Kathryn Turman, JoAnne & Mike Cropper, Ramona Walasek, Brenda Marquis, The Rev. Marcella Klimas, Elaine Judge, Andy Schuyler, Elaine & Scott Perkins, and Marigold & John Watson. We hope the garden will be enjoyed for many years to come!

Turkeys & Toys
:Our hearts are turning toward the holidays now and we are beginning preparations for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our Turkeys and Toys drive begins this week. We plan to give away 400 turkeys and will be signing up 500 children for toys as we did last year. There are a couple of ways to give.  You can give online on the E-giving site, write a check and put it in the offering plate marked for MSH Turkeys and Toys, or you can shop on your own and bring your donations to the church. Sign up here to volunteer for the toy party. Simply mark your turkey for this purpose and put it in the freezer and we will give it to a family in need. We will also have toy collection boxes throughout the parish.

Gifts for Life Will Transform a Life This Christmas: As we rush from store to store, website to website looking for those gifts to please those we cherish, please consider a small gift to change one life this Christmas. The Episcopal Relief and Development arm of our faith tradition has made it simple, easy and affordable to transform lives all over this Earth we share. Micro loans for women to pull themselves out of poverty allowing them to care for their children, seeds for villages to plant crops with life sustaining vegetables, maternity care for those located in areas of high mortality rates, goats to provide milk to a household and clean drinking water are but a few ways that your precious gift will change lives. Would you consider joining us this Christmas in "paying it forward"? Please email James Tola at jamesnolantola@gmail.com   with questions and brochures will be at church showing you how simple you can bring HOPE, JOY and PEACE!
