Turkeys & Toys

We are so grateful for your continued support of our Malachi community.  Our hearts are turning toward the holidays now and we are beginning preparations for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our Turkeys and Toys drive begins this week. We plan to give away 400 turkeys and will be signing up 500 children for toys as we did last year. There are a couple of ways to give.  You can give online on the E-giving site, write a check and put it in the offering plate marked for MSH Turkeys and Toys, or you can shop on your own and bring your donations to the church. Simply mark your turkey for this purpose and put it in the freezer and we will give it to a family in need. Turkeys go on sale TODAY (Nov. 12) at Kroger for $.69 a pound. We will also have toy collection boxes throughout the parish. Again we are grateful to you for your faithfulness to our MSH community.

MINISTRY NEWS

Shine a Light Ministry:

Thank you to the men at St. Patrick's who stepped up and signed "The Pledge" to help bring awareness and decrease the demand in the Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking scandal in Georgia. Your notarized Pledge, suitable for framing, can be collected in the church office. For those who could not attend the cook-out and education, it is not too late to step up and sign "The St Patrick's Pledge".  Pick one up in the church office at the volunteer desk, sign, and we will have it notarized for you and return.

Review pledge here. Stay tuned for opportunities on Prevention, a collaborative effort by the men, women and young adults of St Patrick's. Read this encouraging email from Rick and Carolyn Rasche's daughter.
