Born and raised in Rochester, New York, Julia now lives in Atlanta with her husband Dan, and son Andrew (age 13).Over the years she has worked particularly with Ignatian spirituality, centering prayer, mind-body-breath work, labyrinth, and yoga. Julia also finds great joy in advocating for literacy issues, laughing and walking with friends, and learning to play tennis again---which is definitely a source of great joy and laughter with her neighbor.

All Saints' Day: Sunday, Nov. 2: We will celebrate All Saints' Sunday on Nov. 2. If you would like to have the name of a loved one who has died since last All Saints' Day remembered during the service, please email Nicole Cone by Sunday, Oct. 26.

Tables will be set up in the Narthex for this purpose, along with votives and name cards for you to write the name of your loved one. Please retrieve your memento(s) after the 10:30 a.m. service.

Fr. Richard Rohr, a globally recognized ecumenical teacher and Franciscan priest, invites us to explore a Christian faith informed by contemplation, mysticism, compassion, justice and centuries of rich Christian history. In separate video segments Fr. Rohr stimulates thoughtful and heartfelt discussion as we delve deeply into the themes of Atonement Theology, Eco-Spirituality, the Cosmic Christ, Orthodoxy vs. Orthopraxy, and Mysticism over Moralism.

PARISH HAPPENINGS

Pledge Cards Available Online: If you didn't pick up your 2015 pledge card at St. Patrick's, you can find one on our website. Click here to get to it, then print, fill out, and return to the church office.

Items Missing from St. Patrick's:
  • Did you borrow the
    backpack leaf blower
from the church? Have you seen it around the church property? If you know where it is, please let Fr. Dick know and help it find its way back to St. Patrick's.
  • Did you get to church and need a clipboard and borrow one with activity pages for the children to do during the service - they're kept in a rack on the table just inside the door of the nave.  Several times the clipboards have gone missing and we need them back so our little ones can use them during church. Please return them.

A sign-up sheet for sponsoring a plant purchase will be available in the Narthex following the 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services this Sunday, Oct. 26, in Parish Hall on Nov. 2, and in Narthex on Nov. 9. All payments for plants need to be finalized by November 9. Should you have any questions, please email Paul Chlup.
