Gratitude Update
As we move along through this month of gratitude, we have some updates and announcements to share with you. This Sunday, Oct. 19, our speakers will be Judi Carlson and Frank Richards in the morning and Natalia Carlson at the Sunday afternoon contemporary service (5:00 p.m. in Parish Hall). The following Sunday, Oct. 26, Mary Louise Wilson will share, followed by Tousey Wilson. Ingathering Sunday is Nov. 2.
Pledge cards will continue to be available in the bulletins and the gratitude/ pledge box will be on the table in the Narthex. If you would like a pledge card mailed to your home, let the church office know (770-455-6523). Our finance committee relies on your pledges to prepare the church budget for next year. Their work is about to begin.
We are pleased to hear of small groups and meetings discussing gratitude and hope others will do the same. There is an introspective quality to these discussions that leads us to become focused on all we have and how we can give back. Edward Arlington Robinson once wrote, "There are two kinds of gratitude: the sudden kind we feel for what we receive, the larger kind we feel when we give."
