 Parish News

Palm Sunday: The weather cooperated this year for our Palm Sunday procession from Summer's Landing to St. Patrick's. Hosanna in the highest! (Photo by Carter Cooper - more can be found on our flickr site.)

Welcome Susan Breunig: Nicole Cone (Parish Administrator) is now on Maternity Leave, and will be out of the office until sometime in July.  Please welcome Susan Breunig to St. Patrick's during this transition.  She has been the Business Manager at St. Martin's Church since January 2005.  Susan will strictly be doing the critical finance related tasks to keep the financials flowing (e.g., contributions, checks, payroll, etc.)...all on a very part-time and remote basis.  Think of her solely as our Business Manager during this transition.  You may continue using Nicole's inbox on her door to leave reimbursement requests for Susan to process. She will be accessible via email only at susan.breunig@stpat.net.  All other pastoral needs should be directed to Fr. Dick.  All other communications needs, etc. should be directed to Amanda.

Maundy Thursday Foot Washing Downtown: Deacon Ed is going to wash feet downtown on Maundy Thursday, April 17 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. in Woodruff Park. If you are interested in joining him, please contact Deacon Ed.

Flowering Cross 2013
Flowering of the Cross: On Easter Sunday, children of all ages can participate in a special procession to flower the cross. During the opening hymn the children will process into the nave with their flowers and place them in the cross set up right before the altar. Please plan to bring flowers from your yard - it usually takes 3-5 flowers to make a small bundle.

50 Days of Easter: As Paschal candles are lit throughout the world on Easter  morning to signal the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Bishop Rob Wright will ignite 50 days of online Easter prayer throughout the 109 communities of the Episcopal Church in Middle and North Georgia. Click here to find out how to participate.

Join the "Celebration"!: St. Patrick's will have a contemporary style worship service at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, in the Parish Hall! Rejoice with us singing praises to God with contemporary songs familiar to our hearts! This service of praise and celebration will include a homily and holy communion, too! Plan to stay after the service, reconnect with friends, and enjoy a simple spaghetti dinner together. Help us spread the word by inviting friends, old and new, to worship with us in this joyous way!

Hospitality House: We hope you are enjoying having a space and time for catching up with your St. Patrick's Family and having a little comfort food now that Hospitality House is back. Let us know how you like the changes to Hospitality House, which make hosting much more manageable for most hosts. If you would like to host or bring a tray of food, we having openings for April 27, May 4, May 18, May 25, and June 1.  Please sign up at the Parish Hall Bulletin Board or email Elaine.
