Liturgy Changes in Advent: As Deacon Ed mentioned in his Advent article in the Shamrock, we have some changes to Sundays during Advent. The first is that the time before the services is in silence. From 7:45 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. and again from 10:15 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. we ask for silence in the office and narthex as well as in the chapel and the nave (there are "shhhhhh" signs to remind us of that in the narthex).

Also, there are no announcements -- every attempt will be made to include all necessary information about church happenings in the service bulletin. That means the services will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Advent at St. Patrick's: Join St. Patrick's in Advent in calm and silence, yet filled with excitement about the coming of Christ.

Quiet prayer with Mary
: During Advent, there will be a painting, prie dieu, and paper in the narthex. Spend a moment in prayerful meditation, give a written response, and put it in the box beside the painting. Do you have a question or message for Mary?

Foyers Group to "For the Kid in All of Us":

Best Christmas foyers ever celebrated Sunday night at the "For the Kid in All of Us" Christmas party. Held at the Atlanta Merchandise Mart, guests arrived in fabulous cocktail outfits bearing wonderful toys for 40 different charities, Malachi's Storehouse being one of them. The place was packed and jamming! Terrific Silent Auction also.

Our Foyers Group, spearheaded by our fearless and awesome leader, Mike Cropper, along with Rick and Robin Neal, Jim Hoffman, Bill and Diane Rankin, Marcia Hutchins, Elaine Judge, Mona Walasek, and I volunteered for 5 hours at the event. We were registration helpers, toy accepters, and coat check "girls". I never sat, but never got tired. The toys are amazing. We were all blessed to be a part of the event.

We will remind you next year, but please plan to join us for a fun filled evening. The number of toys we receive for Malachi is dependent on the number of volunteers.

Also keep your eyes and ears open to the Back Pack Party in August at Piedmont Park. Bring your Foyers Group, Sunday School Class, Home Group, etc.
