Combined Adult Formation this Sunday on "Spirituality of Money"
Maggie Kulyk of Maggie Kulyk and Associates will be here this Sunday. Maggie will give a lively, educational, and inspirational talk on the Spirituality of Money for all adult formation classes and the YEA class. Maggie graduated from Candler School of Theology in 1996. In divinity school, she thought she might go into academia or be ordained in the Episcopal Church. She is now a financial planner in Atlanta where she founded Maggie Kulyk and Assoiciates, A Private Wealth Advisory Practice of Ameriprise Financial Services. Through Maggie's holistic teaching, coaching, guiding, and financial planning many people benefit from the freedom that comes with a raised awareness of their relationship to money. This class is not an appeal, but an educational offering of delightful and good humored wisdom. See you this Sunday.

St. Patrick's News

Pets and families joined Deacon Ed on the front lawn on Sunday, Oct. 6 for the blessing of the animals.
Professional Women's Meeting: Our group will be meeting this Thursday, Oct. 10 starting 7:00 p.m.
This month, please bring a few of your favorite books to share with the group. They can be on any subject. We'll talk a bit about why these books make us happy, and perhaps find a few we'd like to read from others' collections. Bring a small snack to share if you can, but most importantly, just bring yourself!
Church Office Closure: The church office will be closed Monday, Oct. 14.
All Saints' Day: We will celebrate All Saints' Sunday on Nov. 3. If you would like to have the name of a loved one who has died since last All Saints' Day remembered during the service, please email Nicole Cone by Sunday, Oct. 27.
Come One, Come All to Dinner on Wonderful Wednesdays! Take a break from your kitchen (or the drive-through line at Wendy's) and join your friends for dinner at St. Patrick's on Wednesday nights! Our catered meals are delicious, our newly refreshed Parish Hall is exquisite, and the opportunity for fellowship is incomparable. In a rush? Take advantage of our "take out" option. Got more time? Stay for Adult Formation or Choir. All are welcome! Wednesday nights begin with a delicious catered meal in our newly refreshed Parish Hall! Dinner is served 6:00 - 6:50 p.m. to allow participation in adult formation or choir rehearsal at 7:00 p.m. Adult meals are $6, youth and children (3-12 years of age) are $5, with a family maximum of $20. Please call the church office by the Monday before to make your dinner reservation. Childcare, at no charge, is available by reservation through the church office by the Monday before.
Episcopal Essentials: Are you ready to be a confirmed member of St. Patrick's? Join us on Wednesday nights through October 30 for Episcopal Essentials. This is our "Inquirers Class," and serves as preparation for confirmation, reaffirmation and reception at the diocesan service at the Cathedral of St. Philip on December 8. On October 9 Fr. Dick will teach about the sacraments. While designed to introduce newcomers to the history, liturgy and sacramental life of the Episcopal Church, this class is open to all who are interested in discussing things Anglican. The class will be led by Fr. Dick, Deacon Ed, and Jim Lynn.

Hospitality House Update: Hospitality House took a long break over the summer with the refreshing of the Parish Hall. During that time parishioners and visitors met in the Narthex, negotiating electrical cords and rolling tables to visit together over coffee and tea. It is now time to move back into the Parish Hall and enjoy this opportunity to connect with one another over a coffee or a snack. We have enjoyed hearing about what you like about Hospitality House and how you have missed it. Many thanks to Elaine Judge her merry band of church mice who have kept us gathered and fed through it all. While the last finish is put on the Parish Hall we will serve donuts. We anticipate the counter being complete within two weeks, at which time Hospitality House will resume thanks to the joyful ministry of volunteers. If you would like to volunteer to host Hospitality House, please email Dana Dolan, or call 770-512-7442 if you'd rather chat.
Art Show and Gathering: Please join us to share in the celebration of Art at St. Patrick's on Fri, Oct. 11 at 7:00 p.m. We will be transforming the parish hall into an art gallery for one night. Artists, bring your art and an easel and join us as we celebrate creating art in the name of our Creator. We will have the Passion Stations down to view up close and sharing our art retreat masterpieces from the October art retreat. Bring a bottle of wine/beverage and appetizer/dessert to share. Since we are having alcohol, this will be an adult only event. RSVP to Elisha Bailez.
Foyer Groups: If you are looking for a way to get connected; meet new people; and enjoy some food, fellowship, and fun; we invite you to join a St. Patrick's Foyers Group. Three foyers groups are currently formed and more will be formed during this fall season. Groups meet every four to six weeks from winter to spring. What better way to spend an evening than with a cordial dinner party among your fellow parishioners? It might be an informal dinner setting at home or a night out on the town with dinner and a play. Several members have said that foyers is how they first felt really connected to our parish. So sign up today by emailing Diane Rankin.
S.P.A.R.K.S. "Name That Tune": SPARKS, Saint Patrick's Alliance for Retired Kindred Spirits, will gather on Sat., Nov. 2 at 7:00 p.m. with Susan Clearman on the piano (playing silly, not dancing) to play "Name That Tune". Bring your memory caps if you still have them. There will be prizes, a wine and beer cash bar, plus a free catered dinner-reservations required, contact Jim Hoffman.
New Name Tags: The new name tags are finished and clipped on the board in alphabetical order. Please wear them on Sundays! If yours is missing, please email Amanda Vaughn.
Synthesis CE Available: The Synthesis CE, a lectionary study guide following the Revised Common Lectionary, for October is available on the table outside the office. Please pick up a copy to learn more about the scripture we read each week.
Want to Join St. Patrick's? Please email Amanda Vaughn or call her at 770-455-6523 for more information.

Ministry News
Prayer Requests: If you'd like to have a name added to the St. Patrick's prayer list, please email the information to prayerrequests@stpat.net.
Garden of Eatin' Needs Volunteers: Please consider joining our small group of faithful gardeners on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., when we harvest, plant, and water the garden. No experience is necessary! We have fun while engaging Malachi's clients in gardening. For more information, please contact James Tola or Wendy Lauber. Cloverleaf: While it's too late to contribute an article, it's not too late to write a check in memory of your favorite saint. It will help fund this year's All Saints issue of the Cloverleaf. If you'd like to give a gift, make your check payable to St. Patrick's, and note "Cloverleaf - Memorial" with the name of the person to be memorialized in the subject line. We'll be eternally grateful. All gifts will be acknowledged in this issue. Stephen Ministry: If you are feeling troubled about a problem in your life, please know that Stephen Ministers are always available. They will be there to listen and to walk with you during the times when you most need them. God wants you to be at peace, and the Stephen Ministers are trained to help you find that peace. Call Fr. Dick at 770-455-6523 to be put in touch with a Stephen Minister. Your request and conversations will be kept totally confidential.
