Faculty News
Professors Paul Lewis ('88) and Marty Mittelstadt recently published What's So Liberal about the Liberal Arts?: Integrated Approaches to Christian Formation.
This compilation of essays invites God's Spirit to change readers through the great works of history and literature alongside developments in science, psychology, and economics alongside an intense engagement with the Scriptures.
This inaugural volume of the Frameworks: Interdisciplinary Studies for Faith and Learning series was compiled in honor of Jim and Twila Edwards, two long-time faculty of Evangel.
Asia Theological Center (ATC) in Singapore celebrated its 30th anniversary which included graduation and an alumni homecoming celebration. Nearly 900 were in attendance for the event and banquet. Two AGTS faculty members serve in leadership positions at ATC: Associate Professor of Spiritual Formation Jay Taylor ('95/'01) serves as vice president for development and Associate Professor of Practical Theology Cheryl Taylor ('91/'03) is vice president for academics.
The University of Valley Forge (UVF) Board of Trustees announced that Dr. Byron Klaus accepted the position of interim president effective July 1, 2016. Klaus will follow legacy-leader Don Meyer, and assist the search for the next president of UVF.
Dr. Klaus served as president of AGTS from 1999 to 2015. Previously, he served for 20 years on the faculty and administration at Vanguard University and as vice president for Latin America ChildCare, a child development ministry that focuses on attaining quality education and serves over 100,000 children in 21 nations in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Alumni News
Carolyn Baker ('84) successfully defended her dissertation and received a PhD in English from the University of North Dakota with specializations in early American literature of the 17th century, historical criticism and the Bible as literature. She serves as adjunct professor of Bible and theology at Global University and associate professor of English/communications at Mayville State University, N.D.
Bruce Blanchard ('91) retired from teaching after 19 years. He taught 10 years in Worland, 1 year in the Pine Bluffs area, 2 years in Oklahoma, 3 years in Louisiana and 3 years in Missouri.
Barb Gilliam ('14) recently taught at Northwest University and spoke at various other events, including a district luncheon for ministers. (Pictured with President Mark Hausfeld)
William Molenaar ('11) begins the PharmD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Fall 2016.
